Osteopathy Appointment

An assessment centred on your history, your musculoskeletal system and how you move.

What is osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a healthcare approach centred on assessing mobility and musculoskeletal function. It uses manual techniques and may include guidance on movement, exercise and daily habits.

What happens at your first appointment

We begin by discussing symptoms, health history, activities and goals. This is followed by a suitable clinical and functional assessment, with an explanation of what is being observed and consent before any treatment.

An adapted approach

There is no single technique for everyone. Care is adapted to age, condition, preferences and tolerance, then reviewed as you progress.

When other care may be needed

If assessment suggests osteopathy is not appropriate, we will explain why and recommend medical assessment or another healthcare professional where needed.
